It's not even alternative. For a generation of younger rock fans, it's the foundational music — the thing that everything else gets measured against. That's the definition of classic rock whether we're ready for it or not. On the Ticketmaster side: on April 15, 2026, a federal jury found Live Nation and Ticketmaster operated as an illegal monopoly that overcharged consumers and harmed artists and venues. The DOJ settled separately — capping service fees at 15% and requiring divestment of exclusive booking agreements with 13 amphitheaters. The remaining states are proceeding to a remedies trial that could result in a forced breakup of Live Nation and Ticketmaster entirely.
