ABRAMS guitarist and vocalist Zach Amster talks about the vocal influences that shaped the writing and recording of Loon — the band's new album out April 17th on Blues Funeral Recordings — including his thoughts on Chris Cornell and what makes Cornell's songwriting stand apart. Zach breaks down the specific qualities in Cornell's voice and writing that influenced his own approach as a vocalist, and walks through the broader range of influences that informed Loon's sound and lyrical direction. It's a straightforward look at how a working musician absorbs and applies the music that matters most to them. Loon is ABRAMS' sixth album and their second release on Blues Funeral Recordings.
